Stay for a spritz at Nessun Dorma


Want to admire the beauty of Cinque Terre with a glass of spritz in hand? Head over to Manarola. After a few minutes of hiking, you should arrive at Nessun Dorma, an Instagram-famous place that doesn’t disappoint.

To say the least, the view of the town is breathtaking from up there. The bruschetta and focaccia are surprisingly affordable and served in big platters.

The place offers a good selection of special cocktails, but it’s the eponymous Nessun Dorma cocktail that is the true favourite of both locals and travellers. Not only that, the service remains exceptionally great, even when it’s packed.

One thing to keep in mind: come 30 minutes before opening to get a table next to the balustrade. Otherwise, you’ll end up queuing for a long time before being seated.

Scoff seafood at panoramic La Posada


Unlike the other villages of Cinque Terre, Corniglia is located up on the hill rather than down by the sea, so it tends to get fewer visitors. But there’s so much whimsy in this charming village that it’s a shame not to take the time explore its fabulously decorated, winding alleyways.

Go to La Posada, a restaurant with a terrace, for a panoramic view of the mountainside. During the evening you can see Manorala from there, glittering in the horizon.

Try traditional fare at Osteria Della Corte


While this is not strictly located in Cinque Terre, Osteria Della Corte warrants a visit to La Spezia, which is just seven minutes by train from the town of Riomaggiore.

A local favourite and listed in the 2020 Michelin Guide, this welcoming, rustic restaurant serves exquisite Mediterranean dishes that are stunningly presented.

Head chef Silvia Cardelli offers an excellent menu with top-quality ingredients and exciting combinations steeped in Ligurian and Italian tradition. Try the mouthwatering octopus with potatoes and smoked cheese during summer.

Help yourself at Bar e Vini a Piè de Mà


Take in stunning views of the sun setting behind the cliffs with a glass of wine and delicious food from the terrace of this charming self-service bar and restaurant in Riomaggiore.

The restaurant places an emphasis on fresh and locally grown ingredients. The dishes remain relatively affordable, especially given its prime location.
