NIGHTLIFE TEL AVIV Ethiopian immigrants bring a new beat to Tel Aviv’s club scene, as the city moves and shakes to a new underground sound that began a long, long time ago in Africa.
SIGHTS Las Fallas, held in Valencia from 15-19 March, is one of the world’s most spectacular festivals, where elaborate fallas (effigies) are paraded through the streets and then set alight. Expect parties, discos, markets and mountains of paella.	SOUNDS New-York rapper 50 Cent rose to fame in 2003 with his massive party anthem In da Club. Expect to hear all his biggest hits on his European Tour, with a performance at Tenerife’s Recinto Ferial de Tenerife on 27 March.
SPORTS Turin is host to the ISU Figure Skating World Championships from 22-28 March. This year celebrates the 100th edition of the competition, and the event is to be held at the Palavela – a spectacular arena renovated especially for the 2006 Olympic Winter Games.	WHAT’S NEW, LONDON Hotel Rafayel is one of the few hotels in the world to combine five-star luxury service and cutting-edge green technology. The hotel claims that each guest will only create 17kg of carbon for each night stayed, as opposed to 70kg on average in other London hotels.
