Why the Estate on the Lake is the best place to stay while golfing in the Algarve this season

Set amid the lush Ria Formosa Natural Park on the unspoilt Algarve coastline, Quinta do Lago (meaning "estate on the lake") is the ideal retreat for wildlife and golf lovers alike.

Most of the 100-plus rooms offer views of the bird colonies on the river estuary and out to sea, while - with four Quinta do Lago golf courses and another 12 nearby - it's well-established as one of the most popular resorts for European golf nuts.
