HAMBURG

Is it a warehouse? Is it a ship? No, it's Hamburg's new concert hall, the Elbe Philharmonic, due to open in May. With its wave- inspired roof design and seating for 2,700 music fans, the Herzog & de Meuron-designed venue, perched atop the Kaispeicher A warehouse building in the harbour, looks set to be the city's next big landmark.
