It's all just a short train ride from Glasgow Queen Street Station.

Neighbourhood Watch: Merchant City
Originally the haunt of the city's tobacco lords, Trongate, the main street in this area, is now known for its high-end shopping. Long-neglected throughout the 1900s, the district has seen recent regeneration, bringing a wave of vintage and eco shops, artists' studios and exhibitions.

April: Glasgow is now a prime film location site for Hollywood movies. The Glasgow Film Office revealed film productions earned the city over £20 million pounds in 2011. A-Listers Brad Pitt, Halle Berry and Scarlett Johansson all came to Glasgow to film their respective productions of World War Z, Cloud Atlas and Under the Skin.
