By Beverley TrickerShopping: For all the high-end labels you could dream of, head to Kafka and find the perfect evening dress, handbag or pair of shoes to add to your luxury wardrobe (5 Alford Place, 01224 626 002).
Sightseeing: The dark and enthralling tale of love, obsession, murder and ultimately redemption is brilliantly told in the musical masterwork Sweeney Todd. Catch it at His Majesty's Theatre on 2-6 March (Rosemount Viaduct, tel: 01224 637 788).
Key areas: At Macduff Marine Aquarium visitors come face to face with hundreds of native fish and invertebrates in a variety of exciting and innovative exhibits (11 High Shore, Macduff, tel: 01261 833 369).
Day trips: The horse trail at Rotten O'Gairn in the Aberdeen Woods - a 15-minute drive from the city centre - is great fun for all the family. Only 5.5km long, it takes you through the mixed woodland and gentle slopes of picturesque Gairn Hill (forestry.gov.uk/scotland).
